Special thanks to all who made our annual fundraising gala a huge success!

The Youth Ensemble of Atlanta (YEA) hosted its 2012 Taste of YEA, a fundraising Gala at the Rialto Center for the Arts on Saturday, August 11, 2012. The fundraiser recognized the life-changing programs that have been the hallmark of YEA. The event also included a tribute to legacy artists Antonio Fargas and Lynn Whitfield, and hit songwriter Johnta Austin. Past recipients include such television and theatre actresses as Kim Fields, Ruby Dee, and Atlanta’s own Georgia Allen.

YEA’s VIP guests enjoyed a catered reception, meet and greet with honorees and silent auction which was co-hosted by Reuben Cannon and Martin Luther King III with support from YEA’s board and host committee members. All audience members were wowed by a powerful performance of YEA’s tour show Gumbo: The Makings of Us and treated to a tasty post show dessert reception. Don’t miss this annual event!
