YEA stirred audiences who attended the April 4th Revisited: Saving Lives, Building Dreams! event, presented by the Martin Luther King III Institute for Social Justice and Human Rights, with their anti-violence piece, War is on the Streets.
Members of the audience included Martin Luther King III, film and recording artist Tyrese Gibson, and several of Atlanta’s civil rights activists. During the panel discussion that followed the performance, Mr. Gibson expressed his appreciation for YEA’s passionate performance and encouraged the group to keep using their art as a method of social change.
