Launched in 2004 with the world premiere children’s holiday musical, Colors of Love, the Tippy Toes Arts Program (TTA) uses the magic of theatre to teach young children ages 3 to 10 life lessons needed to be young people of character. From appropriate manners and honesty, to giving and accepting an apology, our children are often missing these lessons in their daily lives. TTA creates and presents productions specifically for young children. When the lights go down, the effect is dazzling. You can feel the electricity in the room and the children are riveted by the performance on stage. We provide this program at a reduced cost to schools and daycare centers through the generous support of corporate and individual donors.
TTA production Jeremy and the Lie was written and directed by YEA Alum Sharisa Whatley and features several YEA alumni. Jeremy was the debut performance in YEA’s new home theatre in East Point. During the three-week run (the longest YEA run in more than 5 years) thousands of children had the opportunity to experience the magic of theatre and learn a valuable lesson about honesty and the power of the truth. We look forward to Jeremy and the Lie returning in the near future.
